April Showers Bring May Flowers

Friday, April 27, 2018

April showers?  We've had more snow in April than showers, but the May flowers are workin' hard to grow!  Thanks to these fun Lawn Fawn goodies, there's lots of Spring blooms in my craft room!

For the card in this ensemble, I layered to the base a light blue cardstock for the 'sky' and Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Spring pattern paper at the bottom.  The flowers/pots were created using Lawn Fawn Little Flowers dies to cut the cardstock and Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Spring pattern paper (such pretty designs!).  The 'just the note' die is part of the Small Stitched Envelope dies.

To complete this gift ensemble, I created a pretty, little gift card holder to tuck either a note, gift card or small treat.

Using Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Envelope dies, I cut the envelop from Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Spring pattern paper.  The die makes perfect score lines which makes assembling the envelope a snap!  For the front, I added a one of the Lawn Fawn Little Flowers I had put together.

Speaking of 'snaps', I added a velcro snap to enable the envelope to be opened and closed.  Using the label and word die included in this collection, I created a small note card.

Thanks Berry Much

Tuesday, April 24, 2018

Blueberries are one of my favorite fruits that can be included in so many yummy foods - like jam!  A friend of mine once gave me homemade blueberry jam from Maine and it was amazing!

For my card, I used several 'yummy' goodies from Reverse Confetti.  For starters, I watercolored purple, ombre stripes using Grape Soda ink.  Using the Jam Jar die, I made a distress oxide ink 'jar' and cut the top from a pattern paper from the Fun Times pad.  The sentiment was stamped using In A Jam and coordinating die from Jam Jar.  The 'blueberries' were cut from Grape Soda and Royal Purple cardstock  and the spoon was cut from shiny silver cardstock using Love & Ice Cream Confetti Cuts.

Time To Hit The Road

Are you planning a weekend getaway or summer vacation?  STAMPlorations has a new line of Wanderlust travel stamps and CUTplorations dies that are perfect for travel journals, scrapbook pages, cards or gifts!!

Today my cards are featuring two of the new dies and two large, individual stamps similar to the ones in the Born To Roam Club Collection.

For my Aloha card, I created the background using the Bold Florals stencil and distress oxide inks.  The palm tree image was colored and fussy cut and I used shiny gold cardstock to cut with the new ALOHA word die!  One of the great things about these new word dies is that the letters are separate allowing you to easily cut each from different cardstock or even mix up the letters to create another word(s).

Road trip!  For this card, I created a background using a matte medium and distress oxide inks.  The car image is from the Enjoy The Ride set which was stamped directly onto the background piece.  The larger map image was copic colored and fussy cut.  The new JUST GO word phrase dies were used to cut the different cardstock colors.

Be sure to check out the STAMPlorations blog to see all the new CUTploration word phrase dies and larger Wanderlust images!

Dies R Us - Into The Woods

Friday, April 20, 2018

Yippee!  Today is my very first post as part of the Dies R Us Design Team!  I'm so excited to share my 'Into The Wood's project with you -- tell me what you think!

For my card, I started with Poppystamp Boddington Treescape as the frame/outline.

I then cut blue and green cardstock with the same die to create the sky and grass.

These adorable little animals are from Karen Burniston's Woodland Animals dies.  They are small, but oh-so-fun to put together!  For the eyes, I used a black glazed gel pen.

The sun/clouds and 'hello' word are from Lawn Fawn.

Welcome Baby!

Monday, April 16, 2018

This must be the month for babies!  One of my teammates and his wife had a sweet baby boy, my daughter's best friend and her husband had a precious baby girl and several friends on FB became grandparents!!  I'm so excited for all of them and their beautiful gifts from God!

I don't usually made baby cards (guess I haven't had a good reason) until this month!  Reverse Confetti's Cute As A Button stamp set and die are perfect for the occasion.  I layered Storm cardstock to the base and added the circles (cut out from the Dots Layered Tag).  The strip of star pattern paper is from the Pattern Play pad.  The onsies were popped up and layered onto the white cardstock circle which was cut using one of the Lacy Scallop Circle dies.

Thanks to these challenges for the inspiration...

Paper Sweeties - Pretty Kitty

Paper Sweeties is celebrating PETS this month!  The popular Sweeties Pets stamp set now has coordinating dies!

Today my card features the sweet little feline in the Sweeties Pets set.  I was so excited to have found this pattern paper in my stash - kitty cuteness - which I layered onto the base!  I then used the Oval Scallop Frame die and popped up the copic colored kitty.

You won't want to miss the super cute projects the Design Team has to share with you today...
